Santo Domingo.– The FashionLab fashion platform announced the launch of “La Serie”, a programming of fashion experiences that will take place during 2026 in Indómita, with the aim of connecting Latin American design with Dominican talent through a series of trunk shows open to the public.
The initiative includes five activations throughout the year, in which invited designers from different Latin American countries will participate along with Dominican creators, in a format that will allow the direct sale of collections and a close encounter between designers and clients.
As the organizers explained, each edition will bring together an international designer with one or two local designers, generating a space for creative exchange that seeks to strengthen the visibility of contemporary design in the region and foster dialogue between different aesthetic perspectives.
During the project presentation, Jackie Carmargo, representative of FashionLab, highlighted that the proposal aims to bring the public closer to the designer brands.
“This series promises five dates where five international designers are going to come from all over Latin America and are going to do a fusion with a Dominican designer here at home. We will have many surprises, a lot of fashion, a lot of quality and, above all, a lot of Dominican and Latin American spirit,” he expressed.
For her part, Giovanna Vásquez, from Indó Mita, explained that the initiative seeks to expand opportunities for creative talent.
The activations of “The Series” will take place during the months of April, May, September, October, and November 2026, while the specific dates of each trunk show will be announced soon through the organizations’ social media.
Indómita promotes a concept where art serves as a source of inspiration for design, presenting limited and exclusive collection pieces inspired by the Dominican Republic. In addition, it allocates 100% of its profits to a support fund for emerging designers and to initiatives aligned with its mission.
The organizers reported that the events will be open to the public, inviting those interested to attend and support Dominican and Latin American talent.
