Financial support requested to repatriate the remains of typical musician Darlyn Fernández to the DR

The typical music group Nexo Music requested financial support this Monday to repatriate the remains of its lead singer, Darlyn Fernández, 25, to the Dominican Republic, who passed away this Sunday in the United States due to a suspected heart attack.

Through their Instagram account, the group shared a fundraising campaign on the GoFundMe platform, with the goal of covering the costs of repatriating his remains and his funeral services.

“Let’s all come together. The only GoFundMe created by the sister of our dear Darlyn. Those who can contribute to help the family, we will be grateful,” states a post on the group’s Instagram account.

The artist’s sister, Rosibel Fernández Payamps, explained on the fundraising page that the initiative aims to gather the necessary resources to give Darlyn a dignified farewell, which is why she appealed to the solidarity of those who knew and appreciated the musician.

“Due to the great affection that so many people feel for Darlyn, we want to come together to give her a dignified farewell and gather the necessary resources to cover the costs of her transfer from the United States to the Dominican Republic, so that she can receive her farewell in her homeland, as well as the expenses for the wake, burial, funeral, and other arrangements,” detailed Fernández Payamps on the GoFundMe page.

Payamps clarified that any contribution will be received with gratitude by the family members. Likewise, he indicated that those who cannot make a financial contribution can collaborate by sharing the campaign so that it reaches more people.

“Any contribution, regardless of the amount, will be received with much gratitude. If you are unable to contribute financially at this time, sharing this campaign would also be a great help to us,” he/she added.

As of the writing of this note, the campaign had raised USD $19,551 out of the 30,000 goal set.

Finally, the relatives of Darlyn Fernández expressed their gratitude for the expressions of solidarity, words of comfort, and the support received to make the repatriation of her remains possible and to provide her with a dignified farewell.

“On behalf of the entire family, thank you for being with us, for your words of comfort, for sharing this fundraising campaign, and for helping us give Darlyn the farewell she deserves,” they stated.

Likewise, they dedicated an emotional message to the young artist, highlighting the legacy of joy he left in those who knew him and enjoyed his music. “Rest in peace, Darlyn. Your music was silenced too soon, but the joy you left in so many lives will never stop playing.”

Regarding the passing of Darlyn Fernandez

It is recalled that Darlyn‘s passing occurred after the group completed a performance in Miramar, Florida, while its members were traveling to Orlando, in that same state.

The young man, a native of the municipality of San José de las Matas, Santiago province, was remembered by his bandmates for his positive attitude and his dedication to music.

Likewise, his colleagues highlighted his personal qualities and the enthusiasm with which he took on his artistic work.
