Five months after the Jet Set crash, they officiate a mass in memory of the victims

Santo Domingo. – The pain of the 256 people who lost their lives and nearly 180 who were injured in the collapse of the roof of the Jet nightclub Set, considered one of the most tragic events in the recent history of the Dominican Republic. This Monday, on the occasion of the five-month anniversary of the event, a religious service will be held at 10:00 in the morning at the place where the nightclub, a symbol of fun and social gatherings in the capital, operated for decades.

The ceremony, which is part of the events held each month in memory of the victims, will be organized by the Padre Montesinos Diocese and will be headed by the priest Rogelio Cruz. Mariano Alcántara, Gustavo Maldonado, Milton Amparo, and Enerio Vásquez will also participate. Family members, survivors, and loved ones have reiterated that these religious gatherings represent a space of solace, but also a demand for answers about the causes of the collapse and the responsibilities surrounding the tragedy that mourned the country.
