The program’s cameras toured both pedestrian walkways and showed the critical state of the exposed rods, the cracked steps, the broken handrails, the base corroded by saltpeter, and the evident lack of maintenance. The report also included testimonies from residents who, daily, are forced to cross these structures, even with the fear that they may collapse.

Following the public complaint, the Ministry of Public Works initiated an intervention that includes the temporary closure of the bridges, repairs to the railings, structural reinforcements, general cleaning, and the application of protective materials. The presence of equipment on both sides of the road was also observed, including technical personnel and machinery.
The community has reacted with caution, appreciating the start of the work, but remembering that years passed without attention, and that it was media pressure that finally motivated a response.
