Ford sales in the U.S. grew 6% in 2025, to 2.2 million vehicles

Washington.- Ford’s sales in the United States grew by 6% in 2025 to reach 2,204,124 units, the best figure since 2019, the automaker reported this Tuesday.

In the last quarter of the year, Ford sold 545,216 vehicles, 2.7% more than in the same period of 2024. The segment that experienced the most growth in 2025 was that of pickup trucks, with an increase of 9.5%. Ford sold a total of 1,268,749 units of this type of vehicle. The demand for SUVs increased by 1.6%, to 890,042 units, while that of sedans grew by 3%, to 45,333 units. Andrew Frick, president of the Ford sales in the U.S. grew by 6% in 2025, to 2.2 million vehicles and Model e units, stated in a statement that “last year has proven that Ford has the right product and powertrain offering for the lives of our consumers.”

Frick added in a teleconference with media that “we are really pleased with the way we ended the year” and that Ford has outperformed the sector during the last 10 months of 2025.

On Monday, the rest of the major automakers present in the U.S. market released their 2025 sales figures.

The results of Ford exceed the 5.5% growth of General Motors (GM), which in 2025 sold 2.8 million vehicles in the U.S. Ford also improved the results of the third American manufacturer, Stellantis, which last year lost 3% of its market with the sale of 1,260,344 units.
