Santiago.– Four days after the discovery of the lifeless body of National Police First Lieutenant Florangel Duarte Rodríguez inside the Police Supervisory Office in the El Ejido sector, authorities are maintaining absolute secrecy regarding the progress of the investigation, while a video circulated on social media has intensified questions surrounding the case.
In the audiovisual, recorded before his passing, the officer expresses that he did not wish to continue in the ranks of the National Police and claims to feel betrayed by some of his colleagues. During the recording, several agents attempt to talk to him and understand the reasons for his decision, amidst an atmosphere of evident tension.
The circulation of the video occurred a few hours after Duarte Rodríguez was found without vital signs in the bathroom of the police station where he served, an event that remains under investigation by the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the National Police.
According to the preliminary report, the officers who shared duties with the official tried to communicate with him without success and, upon starting their search, located him inside the police facilities.

Despite the expectation generated by the case, neither the National Police nor the Public Ministry have offered additional details regarding the investigations, which has sparked questions from family members, associates, and various sectors that are demanding a transparent investigation and the clarification of the circumstances surrounding the officer’s death.
