Las Galeras, Samaná. The protest over the lack of drinking water continues this Tuesday in the municipal district of Las Galeras, where residents are maintaining their demonstrations without the authorities having officially commented on the situation so far.

The protests are taking place simultaneously in different sectors of the community, where citizens are demanding an immediate solution to the prolonged water shortage that is affecting hundreds of families.

According to reports, the station is operating with only one of the five engines it usually uses, after electrical failures affected the other equipment. It also indicated that they are working to restore the system and that tanker trucks have been sent to supply the population free of charge.
