San Antonio de Guerra. – The Municipal Directorate of the Fuerza del Pueblo party denounced a series of alleged financial irregularities contained in the City Council report corresponding to the period April 2025 – March 2026, which they claim compromise transparency in the management of public resources. The general secretary of the organization in the municipality, Francisco Castro Rodríguez, explained that a technical analysis of the document filed before the City Council reveals inconsistencies that cast doubt on the correct budget execution and weaknesses in internal controls. Among the irregularities noted is a difference of RD$ 2,810,890.30 between the initial balance declared and the actual treasury remainders, without documentary justification, which raises doubts about the veracity of the records.

They also denounced the existence of RD$ 7,259,930.00 corresponding to the “Zero Waste” program managed outside the approved budget, which they consider a violation of Law 176-07 on the National District and municipalities. They also indicated that around RD$ 2,477,424.82 would not have been executed, which was intended for priority areas such as education, gender, and health, failing to meet the minimum percentages established by law.

Regarding the participatory budget, they denounced that the City Council reports as 100% completed projects in communities such as Bani Concordia, La Piedra, El Cajuilito, and El Callejón de Mojarra, without evidence of the start of works. Other locations show execution levels of barely 50%, according to the complaint. They also questioned that out of an investment account of RD$ 88,306,395.16, only the execution of RD$ 9,000,000.00 is detailed without specifying completed works.
