DUM Editorial.- The Latin American dubbing industry is in mourning following the confirmation this Thursday, September 3, of the death of Francisco Reséndez Novoa, affectionately known as “Don Paco,” at the age of 85.
Reséndez was one of the figures with the longest careers in dubbing in Mexico. Throughout a career spanning more than six decades, he lent his voice to numerous characters and also worked as a dubbing director, leaving a mark on productions that accompanied several generations of viewers.
The news of his passing was shared on social media by the account CartoonsOTMoon, and as of now, the causes of his death have not been publicly disclosed. Family members and those close to him have also not offered details regarding the circumstances of his passing.

Reséndez maintained a private personal profile for years, while developing an extensive professional career in front of and behind the microphones.
A life dedicated to voice acting
Francisco Reséndez Novoa was a Mexican voice actor and director, remembered especially for his participation in various Scooby-Doo productions. Among his works are productions such as Scooby-Doo and the Ghoul School and Scooby-Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf, made during the 1980s.
His career also spanned other animation and television productions, consolidating him as one of the voices linked to the golden age of Mexican dubbing.
