Minister Paliza highlighted that this first generation of teachers represents a milestone in the technological transformation of the country: “artificial intelligence is not a passing trend; it is the new language of development. With this strategic alliance we are building national capacities, training Dominican talent and laying the foundations of a sovereign digital infrastructure that will guarantee competitiveness, innovation and opportunities for future generations“, Paliza affirmed. The rector of ITLA, Jimmy Rosario Bernard, highlighted that the participation of six teachers from the institution in this first cohort strengthens the strategic role of the institute within the national innovation ecosystem.The project also contemplates the development of sovereign digital infrastructure, including the implementation of a National AI Factory and the strengthening of the State Data Center in alliance with NAP del Caribe, as well as the execution of certifications and academic programs in coordination with the NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute.“This first generation of teachers and the launch of the Center of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence aimed at consolidating a public policy of sustainable digital transformation”, said Rosario Bernard.
