Santo Domingo. – The
Government ordered the assistance and all the support of the relevant institutions in the face of the emergency that has arisen from the rupture of the adduction pipe of the Cibao Central aqueduct in the community of La Zanja, Sabana Iglesia, Santiago province.
The event occurred at 11:20 a.m. on Thursday, December 25th.
The authorities of the Santiago Aqueduct and Sewer Corporation (Coraasan) reported that for the moment there are no human losses, however, the area was declared in a state of emergency and heavy equipment and technical personnel from the institution are on site to intervene.

The entire social management team is working on a survey to provide aid and assistance to families affected by the situation.
With this break, the aqueducts of Dura Moca and Cibao Central are out of operation, leaving more than 800,000 people without services.
This pipeline carries raw water to the Noriega and Dura Moca aqueducts, and it is the main one, as it has a conduction capacity of 5 cubic meters per second, equivalent to 115 MGD million gallons per day.
