Santo Domingo.- After more than nine hours of hearing, Judge Rigoberto Sena, of the Sixth Court of Instruction of the National District, decided to postpone until tomorrow, Friday the 12th at 2:00 in the afternoon, the knowledge of the coercive measure against the 10 people involved in Operation Cobra – SENASA, including its former director Santiago Hazim Albainy.
During the extensive session, the Public Ministry reiterated that the accused were part of an alleged criminal network that would have affected the Dominican State through multiple modalities of administrative corruption.
Among the crimes attributed to them by the prosecution are fraud against the State, association of wrongdoers, forgery of documents, coalition of officials, money laundering, as well as the approval, billing and payment of unexecuted services.

The prosecuting body also maintains that the group orchestrated a scheme to manipulate hiring processes, issue irregular payments, and use related companies to divert public funds, causing damage amounting to billions of pesos.

Due to the complexity of the case file and the exchange of evidence between the parties, the court decided to suspend the debates and continue them this Friday, when the discussion on the requested coercive measures will resume.
