Honduras sets its sights on the Dominican Republic as bilateral cooperation strengthens

Santo Domingo . Relations between Honduras and the Dominican Republic are going through a stage of growing dynamism, marked by the strengthening of commercial, economic, and cooperation ties between both nations.

In recent years, trade between the two countries has shown positive development, creating new opportunities to expand exports, attract investment, and develop joint initiatives that boost economic growth and regional integration.

The bilateral approach is also reflected in the sports arena, where both nations have promoted spaces for exchange and participation in different disciplines. In that context, a delegation made up of more than 112 Honduran athletes will take part in the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026, a sporting event that will strengthen coexistence, healthy competition, and the bonds of brotherhood between the participating countries.
