Santo Domingo.– The Dominican group Ilegales will be one of the main acts at the opening ceremony of the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026, performing “Corazón de Fiesta”, the official theme song of the sporting event that will kick off this Friday, July 24, at the Félix Sánchez Olympic Stadium.
The ceremony, scheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m., will bring together thousands of spectators in a show conceived to highlight the identity, culture, and talent of the Dominican Republic before the 37 participating delegations.
Under the direction of producer Alberto Zayas, the event will combine artistic performances, choreography, live music, and expressions of national folklore, with the purpose of showcasing the country’s cultural richness in a large-scale production.
One of the central moments will be the performance of “Corazón de Fiesta”, a musical production by Ilegales that will accompany different segments of the ceremony and will serve as a symbol of the festive spirit that characterizes this edition of the Games.

The show will also include an extensive technological display, with hundreds of lighting rigs, special effects, and a drone show that will illuminate the sky of Santo Domingo, in addition to thousands of synchronized LED devices to complement the audience’s visual experience.

The organization has kept part of the artistic content under wraps, including the participation of special guests, with the aim of surprising attendees during the opening ceremony.
With this ceremony, Santo Domingo will officially kick off the 25th edition of the Central American and Caribbean Games, an event that also commemorates the centenary of the regional competition, considered the oldest multi-sport event on the continent.
