INACIF delivers specialized ambulance for the dignified transfer of corpses in La Romana

La Romana. – In an event led by Dr. Carmen Jiménez, Provincial Director of Public Health of La Romana (DPS), the delivery of a modern and equipped specialized ambulance for the transfer and dignified removal of corpses in this province was carried out. With the delivery of the keys to this unit, the aim is to expand coverage and expedite forensic services in this city, and it is equipped with advanced technology, such as GPS systems, cameras, and communication equipment, which guarantees safer work. In addition, it has highly trained and qualified drivers to provide an efficient and dignified service to the population.

The director of the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF), Sonia Lebrón, expressed her gratitude to the Attorney General of the Republic, Yeni Berenice Reynoso, and highlighted that the Attorney General’s Office aims to extend this service to the entire national territory, including areas where it was previously impossible to reach. The event was attended by the provincial governor, Ivelisse Mercedes Méndez; Dr. Miguel Núñez, national subdirector; Dr. Manuela Rodríguez, head of the Eastern region; and Dr. Osvaldo Guerrero Lima, area manager of Health Services. Also participating were prosecutor Josué Cedeño, director of Civil Defense; and Rafael Vicioso, Heriberto Sánchez from Social Management of EDEESTE, as well as a broad commission of community and human rights leaders, among other personalities.
