Héctor Acosta and the mayor of Belleville deliver an ambulance in Maimón

Maimón, Monseñor Nouel. — The senator of the province of Monseñor Nouel, Héctor Acosta, led the delivery of an ambulance to the Municipal Hospital of Maimón, in an initiative managed through the mayor of Belleville, Michael Melham, with the support of the Organization of Dominican Officials of New Jersey.

The event was attended by the Deputy Mayor of Belleville, Naomi De Peña; the provincial governor, Adela Tejada; the mayor of Maimón; the director of CORAMON, César Cerda; as well as the director of the benefited health center. During the activity, Senator Héctor Acosta also presented three special recognitions to Mayor Michael Melham, Deputy Mayor Naomi De Peña, and María Tejada, representing the Dominican Officers Organization of New Jersey, for their dedication and commitment to making the arrival of this ambulance to the municipality of Maimón possible. On his part, Mayor Michael Melham expressed that “when an ambulance arrives, it’s not just a vehicle, it’s hope,” while valuing the efforts made by Senator Acosta to channel this aid. “We are here because we know it saves lives. Thanks to the ‘Torito’ for knocking on our doors and making us part of this cause so necessary for those most in need,” he affirmed. The ambulance was delivered fully equipped, with its registration up to date and the fuel tank full, ready to be put into operation immediately and reinforce the response capacity of the Municipal Hospital of Maimón in the face of any emergency.
