Instituto Duartiano will hold the “Caravan for the Homeland” this February 1st

Santo Domingo.– The Instituto Duartiano, in coordination with various classic car clubs in the country, will hold this Sunday, February 1st, a new edition of the “Caravana por la Patria” (Caravan for the Homeland), on the occasion of the 213th anniversary of the birth of Juan Pablo Duarte and the beginning of the Month of the Homeland. The activity will be led by the president of the Instituto Duartiano, Wilson Gómez Ramírez, and consists of a parade of classic vehicles through different routes of the National District, with the aim of highlighting historical events and national values. The day will begin at 3:00 in the afternoon with an official ceremony at the Puerta de San Diego, located on Francisco Alberto Caamaño Deño Avenue. Afterwards, the route will continue along George Washington Avenue (Malecón) and a section of the 30 de Mayo highway, and then return along San Juan Bautista street, in the vicinity of the Ciudad Ganadera.

The return journey will be along the 30 de Mayo highway and the Malecón, to Paseo Presidente Billini street, turning left onto Palo Hincado street, ending in front of the Altar de la Patria, in Independence Park. Vehicles belonging to the Antique and Classic Car Club of the Dominican Republic (CAACRD), the Dominican Volkswagen Cepillo Club, the Mercedes Benz Classic Club, the Mustang Club of the Dominican Republic, Club Caprice Classic, GM Power, Dominican Antique Car Collectors (CDAA) and the Cars & Coffee Club of the Dominican Republic will participate in the caravan.
