We’ve been reading rumors about the Exynos 2600 for weeks, and we’ve even had a teaser about the chip, but today is the day that Samsung has chosen to officially announce it. And we can confirm everything we knew in advance. With the new Exynos 2600, Samsung boasts of elevating artificial intelligence performance thanks to an NPU that improves generative AI by 113% compared to its predecessor. The improvement of the NPU architecture also elevates the performance of generative AI and also reduces energy consumption and latency. Furthermore, with an eye on the future, the new chip reinforces privacy through virtualization and cryptography, all with protection that does not need to leave the device.
Exynos 2600, the chip capable of challenging throttling

- The Exynos 2600 is Samsung’s first chip manufactured with the 2nm process and has 10 cores in its CPU with the latest ARM architecture (v9.3)
- It is capable of offering artificial intelligence on the device itself (it will not depend so much on the internet connection for this type of tasks)
- Its Exynos Xclipse GPU is capable of managing Ray Tracing and includes Exynos Neural Super Sampling technology, capable of upscaling and generating frames using AI-supported resolution.
- In photography, thanks to the Exynos 2600 we will have the VPS system (Visual Perception System), based on AI and capable of recognizing details as small as a blink and managing them in real time without increasing consumption. It also has DVNR (Deep Learning Video Noise Reduction), which, also through AI, is capable of managing noise in low-light conditions when we are recording video. In addition, the new chip is capable of supporting cameras up to 320 MP and uses the APV codec for video.
- One of the most commented aspects so far was the thermal management of the Exynos 2600. In this sense, the chip is a pioneer in adopting Heat Path Block technology. Thanks to it and its thermal optimization, it is capable of offering sustained performance and reducing its thermal resistance by 16%, allowing heat to escape outwards faster and the SoC to maintain its stable temperature even under heavy workloads. The Galaxies that equip it will therefore be able to forget about thermal throttling.
- In addition, thanks to the 2nm process used in its manufacturing, the Exynos 2600 is capable of offering greater performance with greater energy efficiency.
