JCE enables delivery of new ID card in 90 municipalities for those born between January and April

Santo Domingo.-The Central Electoral Board (JCE) has decided that starting this Monday, May 25, the delivery of the new identity and electoral card will be enabled for citizens born in the months of January, February, March and April. The measure will apply exclusively in 90 municipalities of the country with up to 20 thousand inhabitants, as part of the gradual process of distribution of the new identity document. Among the demarcations included are Mella, El Peñón, Jaquimeyes, Juan Santiago, Pedro Santana, Las Salinas, Guayabal, Polo, Restauración, Cristóbal, Los Cacaos, Estebanía, Postrer Río, Fundación, El Pino, Eugenio María de Hostos, El Llano, Bánica, Partido, Guananico, La Descubierta, La Ciénega, Jamao al Norte, Oviedo, Los Ríos, Rancho Arriba, Ramón Santana, Hondo Valle, El Valle and Sabana Larga, among other municipalities contemplated in the provision. The JCE explained that the initiative seeks to guarantee the efficiency of the service and facilitate the process of renewing the new identity and electoral card, ensuring organized attention to citizens.
