Washington.- U.S. Vice President JD Vance stated this Friday that the new supreme leader of Iran, Mojtaba Jameneí, son of the deceased Alí Jameneí, was “injured” by U.S. and Israeli attacks, but he does not know the severity of his condition.
“The situation there is very chaotic. The Israelis are attacking and, of course, the United States is attacking several targets. So we know he is injured. We don’t know exactly the severity of his injuries, but we know he is injured,” Vance told the press in North Carolina.
The Vice President made this comment hours after the Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, stated in a press conference that the new supreme leader was “injured” and possibly “disfigured” in the bombings in which his father died.

Mojtaba Jamene’s First Message
The first message from Jameneí as supreme leader was a written statement issued on Thursday in which, without showing his face, he called for the Strait of Hormuz to be kept closed and promised that “the blood of the martyrs will be avenged.”
In his statements to the press, Vance avoided commenting on the disagreements he had with Trump about starting a war with Iran.

Differences Between Trump and Vance
According to Trump himself, he and his vice president had a “philosophical difference” since Vance was “less enthusiastic” about the attack on the Islamic Republic.
Asked about the bombing of the Minab girls’ school, in which about 180 people died and which preliminary reports from the Pentagon hold the United States responsible, JD Vance asked to wait for the final conclusions of the investigation.
