Journalist Estarlyn Carela Morillo’s Career Recognized in El Limón

El Limón, Samaná. – The Council of Councilors of the Municipal District of El Limón recognized on April 24 the career of journalist Estarlyn Carela Morillo, through Resolution No. 12-25, during the City Council’s Accountability act. The proposal submitted to the Council was presented by the councilwoman and acting president of the Council of Aldermen, licensed Mireya Frías Alcalá. The distinction was awarded in a solemn ceremony led by Councilor Mireya Frías, along with Mayor Fernando Mercado and other members of the Council, who highlighted the communicator’s contributions to the development of the community, as well as his commitment to truthful and objective information in this important tourist area of the province. Carela Morillo, with more than 15 years of journalistic experience, has consistently followed the main social and political issues of the area, establishing herself as an influential voice in local public opinion.

Upon receiving the recognition, they thanked councilwoman Mireya Frías, Mayor Fernando Mercado, and the other council members for valuing their career, and reaffirmed their commitment to continue working for the benefit of the community of El Limón. This recognition sets a precedent, becoming the first communicator distinguished by the municipal authorities of that district, highlighting that dedication, perseverance, and the responsible practice of journalism do leave their mark.
