Juan Hubieres, president of the National Federation of Transport the New Option (Fenatrano), assured this Tuesday that a basic agreement was reached regarding the conflict between the routes operating in the Mella corridor, in order to avoid unnecessary conflicts.
Hubieres said that the Mella corridor from Santo Domingo remains open without boundaries up to Bayaguana, while the exit routes to the city will respect the rights of the transporters from the municipality of Guerra, as well as those of San Luis and San Isidro.
The Fenatrano leader said that, above all, the drivers and the authorities, there is the citizenry, which is the one that uses the transport service and demands tranquility and respect.

However, Juan Hubieres criticized the National Institute of Transit and Land Transportation (Intrant) for stirring up what was calm, “What is still should be left still.”
He said that the authorities are called upon to end conflicts, or otherwise, the existing vandalism has consequences, which is prison.
Hubieres called on drivers not to let themselves be used and to work all together, “…I have not seen drivers who have become rich…, those who become rich are those who run State institutions, and the second are some leaders, while drivers and fare collectors almost always end up badly.”
He explained that, in the Mella corridor, the routes have been operating for 40 and 20 years, and they cannot belong to a troublemaker, but rather to those who have investments in those routes such as Guerra, Bayaguana, El Toro, San Isidro, San Luis, among others.
