The CEO of Banco de Reservas, Dr. Leonardo Aguilera, reported this Friday that the institution has financed the construction sector with approximately RD$21,000 million, and anticipates that this portfolio will continue with sustained growth, thanks to the confidence of entrepreneurs.
While speaking at the business breakfast in Santo Domingo, Aguilera also projected that by the end of this year, the Bank will close with a corporate credit portfolio of approximately RD$12.3 billion and deposits amounting to RD$14.5 billion.
The bank executive linked the increase in the financing portfolio to the construction sector with President Luis Abinader’s policy of promoting the development of that sector of the national economy, with emphasis on the financing of low-cost housing.
By defining construction as one of the most dynamic sectors of the Dominican economy, which has a multiplier effect, he highlighted that President Abinader’s vision is expressed in the promotion of housing and other projects that significantly impact the improvement of the quality of life of thousands of Dominicans and the generation of jobs.
Aguilera explained to the entrepreneurs present that “we want you to have what you need to grow without limits: competitive credit lines, specialized advice, cutting-edge digital platforms and a human team committed to your success, who accompanies you every step of the way until you see you become what you are today”.
He said that Banreservas’ mission is to provide the business sector with innovative, agile, and secure financial solutions.
Dozens of entrepreneurs from various economic sectors participated in the talk given by economist Raúl Hernández Báez, entitled “Analysis of the situation and outlook of the Dominican economy and markets for business decision-making”, sponsored by the banking institution.
Aguilera maintained that he is convinced that a bank should not only safeguard capital, but also generate trust, accompany in decision-making, and open paths towards new goals.
“Today, more than ever, the business world demands resilience, innovation, and vision. And that’s what we are at Banreservas,” he emphasized.
He valued the role of companies, of which he said that, in addition to contributing to the development of the country’s future, they generate opportunities and are pillars of the country’s economic engine.
“We know – he affirmed – that behind every investment there is a dream; behind every project there is tireless effort; and behind every achievement is the firm conviction that you can always go further”.
In the meeting, held in a hotel in the capital, participated entrepreneurs from the industrial sectors, investors and construction developers, members of the Board of Directors and corporate business executives of Banreservas.
