The Dominican Vitilla League (LIDOVI) announced that the tenth edition of its Championship will be dedicated to the prominent sports communicator Héctor Gómez and the athlete Vicente Ramírez, in recognition of their valuable contributions to Dominican sports and the development of vitilla.

For his part, Vicente Ramírez is a founding member of LIDOVI and has spent more than 40 years dedicated to the practice of vitilla. He was a batting champion and a member of the championship team in the first edition of the league’s tournament, in addition to becoming one of the few players to have participated in all nine seasons organized by LIDOVI, always defending the colors of the Villa Consuelo team.
