Punta Cana.– Lopesan Hotel Group inaugurated three new resorts in Punta Cana this Monday, as part of an investment exceeding 300 million euros with which it expands its presence in the Caribbean and strengthens its positioning in the Dominican Republic’s tourism sector.
The new complex incorporates more than 1,000 rooms distributed across three concepts aimed at different market segments: premium tourism, adults-only, and family tourism. With this expansion, the hotel chain adds one of its largest investments in the region since the opening of the Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort Spa & Casino.
The opening allowed for the initial hiring of around 700 employees, a figure that will exceed 1,100 direct jobs when the complex operates at full capacity, according to the company.

The new hotels are the Lopesan Caoba Lagoon Resort, Spa & Casino, with 554 rooms; the Lopesan Serenity Bay Resort, oriented exclusively to an adult audience and with 239 rooms and suites; and the Lopesan Splash Cove Resort, focused on family tourism, with 242 rooms, a water park, a wave pool, and recreational areas.
As part of the development, the new Lopesan Convention Center was also inaugurated, with the capacity to host up to 2,000 people, with the aim of strengthening the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) tourism offering in Punta Cana.
The complex also integrates The Boulevard, an exclusive space for guests that brings together restaurants, bars, cafes, shops, a casino, and a theater with a capacity for 820 spectators, expanding the entertainment offerings within the tourist destination.
During the inauguration, the CEO of Lopesan Hotel Group, José Alba, highlighted that the project seeks to offer differentiated experiences for each type of visitor, combining design, innovation, and high quality standards.
For his part, Lopesan’s regional director in the Caribbean, Carlos Jiménez, stated that the opening represents an important step within the company’s expansion plan and reaffirms its commitment to the tourism development of the Dominican Republic.
The company reported that the complex was designed under sustainability criteria, incorporating energy efficiency measures, resource consumption optimization, and responsible environmental management. Likewise, it is working on obtaining international certifications that support its environmental practices.
The architectural project, developed in collaboration with the firm HKS Architects, integrates large green areas and water elements as part of its design. Among its main attractions are a 127-meter-long artificial lagoon, recreational cenotes, and ten waterfalls distributed throughout different areas of the complex.
With this new investment, Lopesan Hotel Group expands its hotel capacity in Punta Cana and strengthens its commitment to tourism in one of the main destinations in the Caribbean.
