Santo Domingo.– Actor and director Luis José Germán lamented the passing of actor Stuart Ortiz and highlighted the human and professional qualities that made him a highly appreciated figure within the Dominican artistic community.

During Ortiz’s funeral services, Germán described the actor as an exceptional person, whose time in the theater left an indelible mark among his colleagues.

“Stuart came to us as if sent by something divine, he was an angel. As a person and as a professional, he was disciplined, talented, and always willing. It is a very significant loss for the entire artistic community, and we are grateful for the privilege we had to share with him and to have known him,” he expressed.

The director also stated that one of Stuart Ortiz’s main legacies was his selfless dedication to art and his constant willingness to collaborate with those around him.

“We are going to remember Stuart for the selflessness he had towards art. He did not hesitate to offer his talent, his help, and his willingness as a human being,” he stated.

Germán pointed out that, beyond his interpretations of the scenarios, Ortiz stood out for his human quality, a characteristic that, he said, will be deeply missed by his colleagues.

“Beyond what he could show on the boards, he was a person you wanted to be around. That is transmitted, that is felt, and that will be missed. Yes, a necessary and decisive teammate for all of us,” he concluded.

The statements were offered during the final farewell to actor Stuart Ortiz, where family, friends, and representatives of the cultural sector highlighted his career and the legacy he leaves in Dominican theater.
