San Pedro de Macorís.– Agents from the Central Investigation Directorate (Dicrim) of the National Police arrested a man via an arrest warrant and recovered a vehicle that had been reported stolen in this province.
The detainee was identified as Wender Johan Lombert Veras, 30 years old, a resident of the San Isidro sector, Santo Domingo East, who was caught in the act while traveling in a white 2018 Honda CR-V vehicle.
According to the police report, the car had been stolen on June 30, 2026, in the early hours of the morning, from the parking lot of the residence of its owner, Daniel E. Ramírez Mesa, located in the Villa Azucarera sector of San Pedro de Macorís.
The Police reported that, when questioned about the possession of the vehicle, the detainee allegedly admitted verbally that he stole it together with another individual, whose identity has not yet been established and who allegedly resides in Santiago.

Likewise, he indicated that Arrest Warrant number 0070-mayo-2026 was executed against Lombert Veras, because he was wanted for other cases related to vehicle thefts.

The vehicle will be delivered to its owner after the corresponding procedures are concluded, while the detainee will be placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office for legal purposes.
