Man charged with attempted murder and terrorism following domestic incident in New Jersey
Franklinville, NJ — A man was arrested and faces charges of attempted murder and terrorist threats following an incident recorded on Friday, July 25, in the town of Newfield, New Jersey.
According to the police report, the suspect, identified as Dominic Polidori, allegedly sprayed gasoline on his wife and held a lighter, threatening to set her and the house on fire. Local police arrived at the scene around 5:28 a.m., at which point the man barricaded himself inside the house. It has not been specified how many people were inside during the incident.
Gloucester County’s SWAT team intervened in the operation, which lasted for almost seven hours. As a precautionary measure, the electricity supply to about 300 homes and gas to 25 nearby residences were suspended, due to the risk of hazardous materials. The arrest took place around 12:15 p.m., after which services were restored.
