Samaná.– A man who had suffered second and third-degree burns has passed away after, according to preliminary reports, boiling water was thrown on him while he was sleeping at a business located in the vicinity of the Malecón in the municipality of Santa Bárbara de Samaná.
The victim was identified as Eliardo Kelly, known as “Chicho”, who remained admitted to a local health center due to the severity of the injuries sustained.
According to preliminary data, the incident occurred while Kelly was resting inside the establishment, where he was allegedly attacked with the hot liquid, causing him significant burns.
Following the incident, the man received medical assistance at a local health center; however, he subsequently passed away due to the severity of his condition.
Kelly’s death has caused dismay among residents of Santa Bárbara de Samaná, who expressed sorrow over what happened and hope that the authorities can clarify the case.
