Man found lifeless in the waters of Playa Caleta

La Romana, D.R.– A man was found lifeless this Tuesday morning in the waters of Playa Caleta, an event that has caused dismay among residents and visitors in the area.

At the time of the body’s removal, authorities reported that the victim was not carrying any identification documents, so it has not been possible to establish their name as of yet.

The body was transferred to the morgue of the Dr. Arístides Fiallo Cabral Provincial Hospital (formerly Social Security), where it will remain until a relative can identify it and carry out the corresponding procedures for the wake and burial.

According to accounts gathered at the scene, the man had gone out to buy a yaniqueque for breakfast and, minutes later, allegedly entered the waters of Playa Caleta, where he was subsequently found without vital signs.

The authorities are keeping the investigation open to establish the circumstances under which the event occurred and to determine precisely what happened.

As the investigations progress, a call is made to anyone who may recognize the victim to contact the appropriate authorities or go to the Dr. Arístides Fiallo Cabral Provincial Hospital.
