Arroyo Barril, Samaná. – The mayor of the Municipal District of Arroyo Barril, Luis Felipe Fermín, presented his accountability report on April 24th, corresponding to the 2025-2026 period, in an event where he reaffirmed his commitment to transparency and the responsible use of public resources for the benefit of the entire community. During his presentation, the municipal executive highlighted that his management has been focused on the development of paving works, road widening, public lighting and the execution of the participatory budget, achieving significant progress in communities such as Las Pascualas, Arroyo Barril and Los Róbalos. The mayor detailed some of the most recent works, as well as the positive impact that the municipal district continues to experience, thanks to the support of President Luis Abinader and the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, whose support has been key to the execution of important projects in the demarcation. Among the main performances, the following stand out:
- Construction of 600 meters of sidewalks and curbs in Las Pascualas.
- Paving of streets in Los Jesuses, Los Calcaños and Minguín street.
- Pothole repair and filling of streets in Los Javieles, El Dajao and Los Corozos.
- Conditioning of La Bomba street in Arroyo Barril.
- Expansion of Pedro Fermín street.
- Paving of El Tamarindo street in Los Róbalos.
- Conditioning of the Catholic Church of Ríos Los Cocos.
- Intervention of the Fuente de Agua Viva church in El Macao.
- Improvements to the Pentecostal church of Los Corozos.
- Repair of 20 homes in Los Róbalos.

Furthermore, the installation of lamps was carried out throughout the municipal district, strengthening citizen security and improving the quality of life of the residents. Mayor Luis Felipe Fermín pointed out that these advances represent only a part of the work executed, and assured that in the coming months his administration will continue to promote the development of the district, with the expansion of 17 streets, the modernization of public spaces and priority attention to the most vulnerable communities. With these actions, the municipal administration reaffirms its commitment to continue building a more organized, safe, and constantly growing Arroyo Barril.
