New York.- The tech company Meta announced this Wednesday the launch of Muse Code, its first programming agent, in an effort to challenge industry rivals such as Anthropic and OpenAI.
This tool works in conjunction with the company’s new artificial intelligence (AI) model, called Muse Spark 1.2.
The new assistant, which was launched in beta phase, is a coding agent for terminal that can already be installed on macOS and Linux operating systems.
The details of Muse Code
Developers can access Muse Code through a pay-as-you-go option which, as explained by Alexandr Wang, Meta’s head of AI, to CNBC, maintains API pricing similar to that of the Muse Spark 1.1 version.
The company charges based on the amount of information the model processes and generates: $1.25 per million input tokens (the instructions or data the AI receives) and $4.25 per million output tokens (the content it generates).

These releases are in addition to the recent introduction of Muse Spark 1.1, a model focused on deep reasoning, and Muse Image, Meta’s first high-quality image generator.
