Santo Domingo.– The 70th edition of Miss Dominican Republic Universe now has its 20 semifinalists, following a night full of emotion, elegance, and anticipation at the Grand Final Gala held this Thursday. The contestants continue in the competition for the national crown that will grant them the right to represent the country in the next edition of Miss Universe.
The first candidate to qualify for the Top 20 was the representative of Samaná, marking the beginning of one of the most decisive stages of the pageant, which this year celebrates its 70th anniversary.

With this selection, the pageant enters its final phase, in which the contestants must overcome the following evaluations until the successor to the current national queen is known.
The winner of Miss Dominican Republic Universe 2026 will be in charge of representing the country in the 75th edition of Miss Universe, scheduled to be held on November 24 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
