The 2nd Sunday of the PGT season program had as new semifinalists Eliot Gómez with “Mi salón está de fiesta”, Alan Hierro with “Color de Rosa”, Abigail Adames (journalist and math olympiad winner), and Gisbel Reyes with “La bondad de Dios”.

The structure of the contest includes two semifinals and a grand final, with two participants chosen per round (over 8 Sundays) to advance to the next phase (the grand final at the end of August).

But the excitement of the semifinalists was accompanied by Perla Marola, daughter of merengue icon Sergio Vargas. Her participation drew attention because she normally keeps a low profile on television, but on this occasion, she made a special exception to be part of the tribute to the legacy of Dominican singer-songwriter Luis Días “El Terror”, a key figure in popular music.
