Santo Domingo.- The Ministry of Tourism and the Santo Domingo Tourism Cluster announce the long-awaited start of the summer edition of the “Turizoneando 2026” program, a cultural and recreational initiative that seeks to fill the Colonial City with life.

 The program started this Saturday, June 20, and will run for 11 consecutive weeks, until August 30, 2026, offering more than 100 activities for all audiences.

 A summer full of culture, music and fun: “Turizoneando Summer 2026” will transform the most iconic spaces of the First City of America, with an agenda full of artistic and cultural options. Among the main attractions are:

Live music: Major concerts at Parque Colón featuring artists of the caliber of Transfusion, Aljadaqui, Techy, Diomarys “La Mala,” Benny Hiraldo, and Gabriel Pagan. Additionally, rock performances at “Las Mercedes en Vivo” in Plaza Tirso de Molina, jazz evenings on the steps of El Conde, and folk music with the group Santo Domingo on Saturdays at Parque Pellerano Castro. Of course, the traditional Sundays with Bonyé at the Ruins of San Francisco will not be missed.

Entertainment at Duarte Park: This space will host a local artisan market and exciting Stand Up Comedy nights featuring talents such as El Pio RD, Elías Serulle, Nanita Laura, Fernando Pucheu, Los Muchachones, and Starlyn Ramírez, from the comedy collective.

Children’s Activities: The little ones will enjoy the character “Turi”, as well as face painting, balloon twisting, and mimes.

Performing Arts: There will be special participation from five local theaters: Las Máscaras, Microteatro, Guloya, Teatrera, and Anacaona.

Route of the Temples: With free access from Monday to Saturday (9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.), visitors will be able to explore the history and architecture of the Our Lady of Las Mercedes Church, Our Lady of Altagracia Church, the Dominican Convent Church, and the Regina Angelorum Church and Convent.

Long Museum Nights: In partnership with the General Directorate of Museums, spaces such as the Museum of the Royal Houses (Atarazanas Reales), the Fortress of Santo Domingo, the Cathedral Museum, the Amber World Museum, and the Larimar Museum will open their doors for free with extended hours until 9:00 p.m.

 Likewise, as part of the efforts to facilitate mobility, attendees will be able to enjoy a 20% discount on their trips to and from the Colonial City using the Uber platform. This is in addition to the attractive promotions and discounts available at Abzocol bars and restaurants associated with Aderes.

Last Sunday, June 21st, the iconic Colón Park was the stage for the majestic concert that brought generations together. The evening featured a performance by the legendary rock and reggae band, Transfusión, and the acclaimed singer-songwriter, two-time Latin Grammy nominee, Techy.
