The National Police reported the safe location of an 83-year-old citizen who had been reported missing in the municipality of Los Hidalgos (El Mamey), Puerto Plata province, following a rapid intervention by investigation and prevention agents.
It concerns Mr. Julián Ulloa, whose absence was made known to the authorities through a publication disseminated in a local digital media outlet, which prompted the immediate deployment of members of the Regional North Investigation Sub-directorate (DICRIM) and the Preventive Police to the Ranchete sector to begin search efforts.
During the proceedings, the officers interviewed the elderly man’s relatives, who stated that it was the first time he had been absent from his residence. Likewise, community members reported that he had last been seen on the afternoon of June 14th.

As a result of the search efforts, Mr. Ulloa was found on the afternoon of June 15th at the Divisoria hill, located in the Ranchete sector, in the municipality of Los Hidalgos.
When interviewed by investigators, he explained that he had left walking of his own free will during the afternoon of the previous day, moving through different places in the area until he was located by the authorities.
The National Police reiterated its commitment to act in a timely manner in any situation involving the safety and well-being of citizens, especially older adults.
