National Police rearrests inmate who had escaped from the CCR El Pinito in La Vega

La Vega. — Members of the National Police managed to recapture a renowned criminal who had escaped from the Correction and Rehabilitation Center (CCR) El Pinito, in this province. The detainee was identified as Raymon Silvetrez González, alias “El Malo”, 23 years of age, residing in the Guachupita sector, in San Pedro de Macorís. According to the police report, the capture was carried out by agents of the Regional Sub-Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DICRIM), in coordination with the Preventive Police, after a rapid intelligence and surveillance operation that allowed them to locate him on the main street of the El Pinito sector, in Sabaneta, La Vega province. The individual was held under coercive measures for his alleged involvement in crimes of criminal association and homicide, in violation of several articles of the Dominican Penal Code. At the time of his arrest, the authorities seized a cell phone from him, which was handed over to the relevant agencies for investigation purposes.
