Padre Las Casas,, Azua. – The pollution generated by the municipal landfill of this municipality keeps residents and visitors in a state of concern, due to the constant smoke and the accumulation of garbage in public spaces. People consulted reported that solid waste reaches the main access road to the municipality, affecting the urban image and creating an unhealthy environment that represents a risk to health and the environment. They indicated that the persistent smoke emanating from the landfill is causing respiratory discomfort, especially in children, the elderly, and people with chronic conditions. Faced with this situation, the population called on the municipal authorities, headed by Mayor Máximo Romero, to take urgent measures to control the landfill and prevent further damage to public health and the environment.
