International Desk .- The mother of blogger Perez Hilton, Teresita Lavandeira, has requested temporary custody of the blogger’s three children, who will need to undergo surgery after apparently self-harming during a video broadcast on social media.
The request was made in a Miami court on August 7, three days after the incident, according to People magazine.
Perez Hilton (48 years old) is a father of three children, Mario (13), Mia (11), and Mayte (8), all of them born to surrogate mothers.
The blogger had to be hospitalized and will require surgery after appearing in a live stream on his social media covered in blood.
Perez Hilton’s family issued a statement on August 8th stating that the wounds and blood loss during the incident would require surgery and that his treatment and recovery would be a “long process”.
Their condition “serious but stable”
The statement added that the blogger’s condition was “serious but stable”.

Perez Hilton, who had just moved to Miami to be close to his family, recently stated in several social media videos that he was “anxious” and “overwhelmed” by the move.

“I went into a kind of downward spiral because I felt overwhelmed by the move to Miami and I stopped doing those things that I know are good for me,” Hilton pointed out in a video on her YouTube channel published last June 26th.
Following the live broadcast by the influencer, Hilton’s TikTok account was suspended, as confirmed to People by a TikTok spokesperson in the United States.
