The Dominican Association of Pharmaceutical Industries, Inc. (INFADOMI) announced the appointment of Mrs. Patricia Mena Sturla as Executive President of the institution, a newly created position that will assume the executive management, legal representation, and institutional spokesperson role of the organization.
n” “nMena Sturla’s appointment was approved by the Annual Ordinary General Assembly, meeting extraordinarily on June 23, 2026. The new Executive President of INFADOMI holds a Doctorate in Law from the Ibero-American University (UNIBE), with postgraduate studies in international comparative business law, intellectual property, and economic regulation.
n” “nThe professional has a solid track record in the Dominican pharmaceutical sector, where she has played a relevant role in promoting policies aimed at strengthening national production, health security, innovation, competitiveness, and timely access to quality medicines.
n” “nLikewise, for nearly fourteen years, she has led the executive, regulatory, and institutional management of INFADOMI, driving strategic initiatives for the national pharmaceutical industry and strengthening dialogue between the productive sector, authorities, and various stakeholders in the health system. Her experience combines legal and regulatory knowledge with extensive capacity for institutional management, consensus building, and relationship management with key players in the health sector and public administration.

“I assume the Executive Presidency of INFADOMI with a deep sense of responsibility towards the national pharmaceutical industry and the Dominican patients. The new governance structure that our Assembly approves today will allow us to be a more agile and technical organization, and I will work to strengthen national medicine production, the population’s access to quality treatments, and the sector’s competitiveness,” stated Mena Sturla after his appointment.
