Santo Domingo.- The lawyers for the plaintiffs in the Jet Set case were formally notified of the appeal filed by the owners of the entertainment center and several linked companies against the resolution issued by the First Instruction Court of the National District.
In accordance with a bailiff’s act dated July 2, 2026, the lawyers, representing family members of the victims in the case, received notification of the document containing the appeal filed on June 23, 2026.
The document states that the appeal was filed by Antonio Espaillat López, Maribel Espaillat, Ana Grecia López, as well as by the companies Inversiones E y L, S.R.L., Radiocadena Comercial, S.R.L., Difusora H emisferio, S.R.L. and Inversiones CCEP-2, S.A., in addition to Evelyn Espaillat, through their legal representatives.
The appeal seeks to challenge Resolution No. 057-2026-SACO-00101, issued on June 15, 2026, by the First Instruction Court of the National District.

In the appeal, the defense requests that the amount of the economic guarantee set at RD$500 million be maintained, but that the conservatory measures be replaced by a bond issued by an insurance company. Likewise, it asks the Court to establish the beneficiaries of that bond, alleging that this requirement is demanded by insurance companies for its issuance.

With this notification, the complaining parties are formally informed of the appeal and may exercise their right of reply within the appeal procedure, in accordance with the deadlines established by the Dominican criminal procedural legislation.
