Santo Domingo.-The National Police reported that it is maintaining an investigation into the assault of which a young delivery worker was a victim in the Alma Rosa I sector, in Santo Domingo East, after a video of the incident circulated widely on social media.
According to preliminary investigations, the victim was identified as 18-year-old Yorky Medrano Paul, who was performing delivery work for a local grocery store when he was intercepted by several individuals.

The authorities indicated that the young man had allegedly been pursued by six men traveling on three motorcycles. After catching up to him in front of a commercial establishment, the suspects stripped him of RD$1,600 in cash and fled the scene.
The law enforcement institution assured that it is working on the identification and location of those responsible for the incident, while it continues to collect evidence and review the images that captured the moment of the assault.
