Santo Domingo.– Lawyer Emilio López informed that he will no longer legally represent the teacher pointed out in a video circulating on social media, in which the teacher is allegedly observed physically assaulting a minor in a daycare center in the Alma Rosa I sector.
Through a public message, the jurist explained that his participation in the case was limited solely to accompanying the accused to present her before the corresponding authorities.
According to him, he was contacted by a close person to help move the teacher and make her available to the competent institutions, including the Public Ministry and representatives of the Ministry of Education.
“They summoned us to take her in front of the school and in front of the Public Ministry and place her at the disposal of the authorities,” he explained.

The lawyer specified that, from this moment on, the legal defense of the teacher will be assumed by other legal professionals.
“Who is speaking to you, Emilio López, is no longer taking on the process. From now on, she will be assisted by other lawyers,” he stated.
López also recalled that every person involved in a judicial process has the right to receive legal assistance, regardless of the severity of the act attributed to them.
The case has generated widespread public attention after images showing the alleged mistreatment of the minor were released, which prompted the intervention of the authorities to investigate what happened and determine the corresponding responsibilities.
