Santiago.– The National Police are maintaining an intense manhunt to capture the alleged perpetrator who killed a man with a stab wound during an argument over just RD$50, in the middle of a dice game that ended in a homicide and has shocked the La Yagüita de Pastor sector of this city.
The victim was identified as Domingo Andrés Acevedo Peña, alias “El Rubito”, 46 years old, who died as a result of a stab wound to the left costal region, as certified by the acting medical examiner.
According to the spokesperson for the National Police in Santiago, Fiordaliza Popa Arias, preliminary investigations indicate that Acevedo Peña was playing a game of dice with a man identified only as Ezequiel, known as “Sade”, when both got into a heated argument over a play involving RD$50.
In the midst of the altercation, the alleged aggressor pulled out a bladed weapon and dealt the stab wound that caused his death.
After committing the act, the suspect fled, while National Police agents initiated a wide-ranging search operation to locate him and place him at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
The law enforcement institution maintained that it is actively pursuing the alleged murderer and urged “Sade” to turn himself in through whatever means he deems appropriate to answer for the crime he is accused of.
