Prior to the presentation of the economic pro-growth and international crisis mitigation measures (Anti-Crisis Plan), the Minister of Finance and Economy, Magín Díaz, held meetings with key productive and social sectors of society, with whom he shared the details of the proposal as part of the current administration’s openness to dialogue at that institution.
The first of these meetings was held with representatives of the National Council of Private Enterprise (CONEP) and the Association of Industries of the Dominican Republic (AIRD). In this meeting, measures were presented to strengthen economic stability, protect families, and secure resources for the country’s development.
In that sense, during the meeting, held at the Business Tower, impressions were exchanged regarding the proposed initiatives, which were valued by representatives of the Dominican business sector, in an atmosphere of consensus building.
In addition, the official held another productive meeting with representatives of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) at the Ministry of Finance and Economy headquarters, in which it was acknowledged that the proposed plan protects this sector.
In this scenario, Díaz highlighted that one of the main protection measures for MSMEs is the elimination of advance payments for micro-enterprises and the redefinition of this for small businesses, which represents a relief.

Following the formal announcement, the Autonomous Class Union Confederation (CASC), the National Confederation of Dominican Workers (CNTD), and the National Confederation of Trade Union Unity (CNUS) have also joined in the positive assessments of the measures, as have the National Federation of Merchants and Entrepreneurs of the Dominican Republic (Fenacerd), the Confederation of Merchants and Entrepreneurs and MSMEs of the Dominican Republic (Conmipymes), and the National Association of Asphalt Producers (ANPRAS), among others.
Similarly, the minister met with economists, media directors, and opinion leaders, with whom he shared each of the initiatives firsthand and answered the questions asked.
These spaces contribute to strengthening collaboration between the Government and the private sector, as well as society in general, to promote actions that favor economic stability, investment, and the sustainable development of the Dominican Republic.
