Cacerolazos spread in Santa Bárbara de Samaná due to the lack of drinking water

Samaná. Dozens of citizens in the municipality of Santa Bárbara de Samaná held pot-banging protests this Wednesday night due to the prolonged lack of drinking water affecting numerous sectors of the area.

The situation also impacts communities in Las Galeras and Arroyo Barril, whose residents report that they have gone several weeks without receiving the service, which has generated growing indignation among the population.

With the sound of pots and utensils, the protesters expressed their discontent and demanded an immediate response from the competent authorities, calling for definitive solutions to the water supply crisis.
