Bonao.– With an investment of RD$17,400,000.00, the new public funeral home of the Municipal District of Jayaco was inaugurated this Tuesday, in an act headed by provincial and municipal authorities, with the support of the Dominican Hydroelectric Generation Company (EGEHID), the institution that financed the work. The land where the building was erected was donated by the City Council of Jayaco. The ceremony was led by engineer Máximo Gómez, deputy director of EGEHID, representing the general director, engineer Rafael Salazar. The blessing of the event was given by parish priest Johnny Durán. The provincial governor of Monseñor Nouel, Adela Tejada, highlighted the significance of this delivery for the population.

“It’s a situation of a human nature. We wouldn’t want anyone to need these services, but we know they are a necessity. This funeral home joins other initiatives that we have requested to continue promoting the development of this community”, he affirmed.

Tejada also pointed out that for the Dominican government, this type of work has special value, as it directly responds to the needs of the most vulnerable families.
