Santo Domingo.- The Ministry of Public Health (MSP) and the Ministry of Public Administration (MAP) launched the new Health Career Position Classification Manual, through the signing of Resolution No. 0014-2026, which approves this technical instrument to organize and standardize positions within the National Health System.
The manual, technically and methodologically validated by the Ministry of Public Administration, establishes a uniform classification of Health Career positions based on the functions, responsibilities, competencies, and requirements of each role, in compliance with Law No. 395-14 on the Health Career and Law No. 41-08 on Public Service.
The Minister of Health, Víctor Atallah, highlighted that “this Job Classification Manual represents a transcendental step for the institutional strengthening of the Ministry of Health and for the consolidation of the Health Career.”
Likewise, the Minister of Public Administration, Sigmund Freund, indicated that the implementation of this manual will allow for better human talent management and will ensure that each public servant performs in accordance with their competencies and the responsibility of their position.

With the implementation of this manual, the institutions that make up the National Health System will have a common tool to strengthen human talent management, facilitate human resources planning, and support the processes of organization and development of the Health Career.
Likewise, the resolution instructs the Ministry of Public Health, the National Health Service (SNS), the Regional Health Networks and the other institutions that make up the National Health System to adapt the job nomenclatures and update their personnel structures in accordance with the new Manual, with the technical support of the Ministry of Public Administration.
This Job Classification Manual will strengthen the organization of human talent in the health sector, promoting the professionalization of personnel and more efficient and transparent management for the benefit of the services received by the population.
