Santo Domingo.- The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) informed that starting this Monday night, it will begin pavement rehabilitation work on the John F. Kennedy Avenue overpass, located at the intersection with Dr. Defilló and Buenaventura Freites avenues, which will require temporary traffic restrictions.
The institution explained that the work will extend until Wednesday, July 23, and will be carried out from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., during which time the passage in the west-east direction will remain closed to facilitate the execution of the work.
According to the MOPC, the intervention is part of the maintenance program it is carrying out on various roads in Greater Santo Domingo, with the purpose of improving pavement conditions and ensuring safer circulation for drivers.
The authorities indicated that the nighttime schedule was selected to reduce the impact on traffic flow and allow crews to work in safer and more efficient conditions.
During the intervention period, the ministry recommended that citizens use alternate routes and follow the instructions of traffic personnel and the signage installed in the area to avoid setbacks.
