Santiago.- Punta Bergantín enters a new phase of expansion after surpassing 60% of closed sales for the residences that are part of the tourism and real estate project, a sign of the growing interest from investors in this new development hub in the north of the country.
The figure was revealed this Friday during the official launch of the Hacienda Serena villas and the Velavento residential complex, in Montellano, Puerto Plata, where executives presented the progress of an initiative being developed over approximately 10 million square meters.
The project is now preparing for another key step: this Saturday the Welcome Center will be inaugurated, a space conceived to receive potential buyers and investors and present them directly with the offer, infrastructure, and projections of Punta Bergantín.
Andrés Marranzini, president of Punta Bergantín, and Pantaleón Rosario, executive of the project, highlighted the pace of commercialization achieved and the strategic potential of the area to attract new tourism and real estate investments.
During the event, the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, reviewed the process that allowed the Dominican Republic to strengthen its positioning as an international tourist destination, including the challenges faced during the pandemic, and asked God to bless the development of Punta Bergantín.

One of the factors that could further increase the project’s appeal is the future Ámbar highway, an infrastructure that will connect Santiago with Puerto Plata and facilitate travel to the complex, reinforcing its position as a strategic point between both provinces.
Punta Bergantín offers an experience that goes beyond residences, featuring a golf course, a town center, commercial areas, cultural spaces, and entertainment zones, under a comprehensive development vision aimed at owners, visitors, and investors.
With more than 60% of the units sold, the project moves from the expectation stage to a phase of real estate realization, seeking to become one of the main new engines for tourism and residential investment in Puerto Plata.
Local and business authorities participated in the activity held in Santiago.
